340B HOSPITAL RECERTIFICATION SET TO BEGIN ON AUG. 10
Created by j.blackburn@americanhealthcare.com on 7/5/2016 6:36:45 AM

HRSA has informed 340B Health that annual recertification for 340B hospitals is tentatively scheduled to begin Aug. 10 and end Sept. 7. Hospitals will have four weeks to recertify their eligibility for the 340B program, which includes verifying the accuracy of their OPA database entries and attesting to compliance with 340B rules. Failure to recertify will result in removal from the program.

In prior years, OPA has sent an email to hospital Authorizing Officials and Primary Contacts before the recertification process begins containing instructions, and Authorizing Officials have received a separate email with a username and password to complete the recertification process. 340B Health strongly encourages hospitals to promptly update their information in OPA’s covered entity database, particularly their email addresses and other contact information, to guard against missing these critical recertification emails.
